The definition of "Legacy" is a gift or honor  handed down through a family line. We, the Legacy Vets Motorcycle Club, gladly accept this honor  from our Viet Nam Vets Motorcycle Club brothers. They came before us and have entrusted us with the responsibility of carrying on with their visions, principles, code of ethics and traditions. We are a Brotherhood of Warriors.

The Legacy Vets MC was created by and is a part of the Viet Nam Vets MC. We are not a separate entity, nor will we ever be. The LVMC is governed by the by-laws of the VNVMC.

Our goals are simple: To contribute our time, effort and resources to the Viet Nam Vets MC by following their leadership example and creating a better future for all Vets and their families. All Legacy Vets MC Brothers are activists and advocates for veteran's rights. There are other veterans riding clubs and advocacy groups, such as those found at The American Legion or Veteran's of Foreign Wars, but that's not us. We are a serious motorcycle club. The Viet Nam Vets MC and the Legacy Vets MC continue to honor our solemn oath to defend and protect the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and to fight for the inalienable principles upon which this nation was founded.

The Legacy Vets MC and the Vietnam Vets MC share more than common military experiences. We also share a common set of social codes, ethics and values that set us apart from ordinary citizens. We are warriors. We fought together, and we'll ride together. We, too, have been humiliated and ostracized for performing our patriotic duty in service to our Country. We've been lied to; denied medical attention and reorientation benefits at the hands of politicians. Yet we remain faithful to the principles of our Constitutional government.  We have been, and are presently being, sent to foreign lands in defense of our nation's founding principles of freedom and democracy.

We are not a criminal organization, nor do we intend to become one. We have no intentions of involving ourselves with the issues or problems of other motorcycle clubs.
We do, however, feel strongly about government infringements upon personal liberty and civil rights. The values that we fought for on foreign soil are even more important to us here in America.

Becoming a member of The Legacy Vets MC and entering our unique Brotherhood is a process. It starts with a few basics:
  • Verification of current U.S. Military status or a Veteran discharged under honorable conditions.
  • Own a 650cc or larger motorcycle.
These are only the initial requirements, to be considered for membership. A select group of men will be invited to participate as a guest in VNVMC/LVMC motorcycle runs and charitable events. Some of them will advance to the next step: Prospecting.

The purpose of Prospecting is to enable the Club to get to know you and for you to get to know the Club. This ensures that you are totally aware of what you're getting yourself into and that you will be willing to support the Brotherhood completely. It also gives the members a chance to see if you'll represent our Brotherhood and Club in a respectful manner. A fully informed and prepared Prospect will become a valued Brother. Consider that every single Brother has prospected and earned the HONOR to wear the patch. Everyone will Prospect: No exceptions.

The Legacy Vets MC is a unique entity. We give 110% to the Viet Nam Vets Brotherhood and to each other. We don't want "Prima-Donnas", egos and assholes. We are always ready and on the way if called upon by our Brothers nationwide.
